• Plant and animals were the theme for the grade 1 learners' art drawing and collage. Learners used real leaves to glue on the animals to make patterns. They added plants to create the animals' habitats and then colored all the picture with colored pencils.

Christmas (Collage) (click to view photos)

• Grade 1 learners celebrated the Christmas holiday by making a Collage Snowman. Learners first traced the shape of snowmen on a white paper and then they had to cut properly the shape of a hat to put it on the head of the snowmen.They used colors and scraps of papers to decorate the art. Each learner glued a wooden stick to the back of the snow men. The learners' created beautiful snowmen to decorate a Christmas plant... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

Family tree ( Drawing) (click to view photos)

• The family tree was the first theme for grade 1 learners' first art project of the year. Each learner drew themselves along with their family members. They each received a white A4 paper which they fold in half. Then from the outside they drew themeselves and from the inside, they drew their family under a big tree.They use markers to make lines, shapes and color. When they finish, a big a red roof was glued on the top of their drawing to protect their family under it.
