Grade 1 learners enjoyed making their own self portraits. Using colored pencils and following steps they each made a unique portrait. Once the basic faces were done they all added their own creativity to decorate the back ground using different shapes. To make it even more fun and artistic, sunglasses were added.
Grade 1 learners made an Easter egg using the resist painting technique. They drew different designs on a white cardboard shaped egg using oil pastel.They made curly, straight, zig- zag, and wavy lines with shapes and spirals to fill the egg. Then, learners used watercolor paints to cover the oil pastel. They were surprised to find that the paint and oil did not mix. A week later, learners enjoyed putting the little chick inside the nest, and added a simple frame around the egg. Grade 1 learners added some button's to make their egg more colorful and wish you all a Happy Easter

Learners prepared a cute snail by using clay. They rolled the clay to obtain a spiral shape to form a snail shape. Then they put it in a rectangle stand of clay to join the pieces together.They used carving tools to decorate the base and put their names on the bottom. They had fun by adding pipe cleaners for the antennas.
