Picasso was a Spanish painter and sculptor born in 1881. He is the co-founder of cubism and is one of the most influential modern artists of the 20th century. He is most known for his abstract paintings of faces. Obviously, the picture shows a face, although it usually showed a profile, as well as a frontal view with different facial features. Facial features are located in different places and are sometimes duplicated. I started this lesson by talking with students about Pablo Picasso. I showed them examples of my art. I reminded them about warm and cool colors. Students created themselves in an abstract way. Then they outlined with black marker the face pattern to show the front view and profile view. Then students were asked to add the details with gauche paints.
