• Creating a relief painting in the style of Vincent Van Gogh was a very challenging and creative project. Grade 4 learners explored Van Gogh’s unique way of painting, with his short brushstrokes, curves and swirls than focused on part of his compositions to make a cardboard relief painting by using the bending/folding technique to build up their compositions.

• Grade 4 learners created an original collage, which is a technique of art production where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms and mediums. Learners started by drawing the shape, than used the newspaper in a creative way to fill the form. Also they explored the warm/cools colors and painted the background of their composition in a very colorful way.
