• Hundertwasser’s original and artistic vision, his bright, vivid colors, patterns, and organic forms were the inspiration for the grade 5 Mother’s Day collage. The learners have created their own Hundertwasser collage picture, by using different fabrics and markers to make a beautiful flower field picture for their mother.

Georgia O'Keeffe inspired floral painting. (click to view photos)

• Georgia O’Keeffe was a major figure in modern art, she is mostly known for paintings of flowers, shells, and landscapes. The grade 5 learners had to create a floral painting in the manner of O’Keeffe, after choosing one from many flower pictures; they focused on one big flower, enlarged it, and added all the details that they can see, than they painted their subject with watercolor and oil pastels.
