The learners created beautiful portraits inspired by the pointillism, which is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. They began by discovering the artwork of the French artist Georges Seurat who is best known for his use of the pointillism technique, than they started drawing their self portrait and painted the picture by using the secondary/complimentary colors in a pointillism way. The outcome was remarkable.
The learners discovered the artwork of Alexander Calder, the American sculptor who is best known for his mobiles, and created beautiful sculptures in his style. First, they prepared the armature of the sculpture, by using wires and cardboards, than organic and geometric shapes have been created and attached together with the papier-mâché method. Finally, the learners painted their mobiles with primary colors.
