In keeping with the spirit of the new theme we have taken in KG 1, “My Family My Community,” we were introduced to a very special member at our school. Can you guess who? Our school nurse!!! Mrs. Rita prepared a small presentation to explain about her job. She showed us the different tools that she uses, like the stethoscope, thermometer, Betadine, oxygen, sterile gauze, and tongue depressors. We were very excited to explore and try out these new tools. Mrs. Rita started her presentation by demonstrating how to make use of these tools using a doll, and after her interesting presentation, she gave some of us turns to role-play her job. This was such a fun and educational activity, not only did we learn about the different tools and how the nurse uses them, but we also had the chance to try them all ourselves. Oh, it was a really great activity!
