A Trip to Mars

Posted on: 18-11-2008

In our latest Science class, our teacher asked us to work on a project about Mars with a title “Wish you were here”. First, I thought of a brochure that drives the attention of people to visit Mars. The brochure included some information about the trip to “The Red Planet”. The trip costs 5,000 dollars for flight simulation, delicious food, new amazing games that we are going to play in addition to the planet discovery and many other adventures in our voyage”. Mars is the fourth planet in the solar system. It is named “The Red Planet”, because it appears red as you look at it from Earth. It is exactly as the surface area of the dry land on Earth, but the surface area of Mars would be a harsh place for humans. Mars includes enormous dead volcanoes and valleys. The temperature on Mars is usually well below the freezing point of water (-55c). The clouds are made up of water-ice crystals and dust. So get your jackets with you! Some scientists believe that long ago, there was life on Mars. Yet, no one could show any convincing evidence about that. After this brief idea about Mars why don’t you join our group to explore more about Mars, bring your SMOC IDs with you and prepare yourselves for a voyage of a lifetime. Tala Hamawi Grade 4 B Learner
