During the last 3 weeks, in our Science class, we have been learning about plants, their parts, needs and kinds. We did a lot of fun activities with our teachers related to this topic.
As exploring and investigating the world around us is always very exciting, our teacher took us for a visit to the agri-area. It’s a special place at school, full of plants. It’s surrounded by big windows to let the sunshine and air in. When we arrived there, Mrs. Kathy, the person responsible for the Agricultural Program at school, was awaiting us. She showed us different plants such as cactus, wheat and bean plants. And guess what?
There was a surprise waiting for us! She prepared for us pots, shovels, soil and many kinds of seeds. For one day we had the opportunity to become gardeners! It was such an exciting and interesting experience. Each one of us planted seeds in his own pot. Then Mrs. Kathy explained to us how to take proper care of our plants in order for them to grow. I know that I have to water my plant three times a week and place it in the sun. It needs water,air and light!
I hope it’s going to grow very biiiig!
