Mom and Dad, guess what? In the spirit of our last theme “Eat well, feel well”, we opened a new supermarket at school! At this supermarket we sell only healthy kinds of food, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, lettuce, oranges, apples, bananas, cheese, labneh and bread.
As acting out in the Drama Center is always fun, we enjoyed ourselves immensely playing in our supermarket. Some of us imitated customers’ actions, like pushing trolleys and picking up different kinds of fruits. Another group played the roles of the shop assistants.
We also had a kitchen area where some of us pretended to be cooks. We wore big, white cook’s hat and apron and cut all the fruits with plastic knives. Then we mixed them in a bowl to make fruit salad! We also learned how to make Labneh sandwiches. It was so easy to spread labneh on toast.
We loved this activity a lot because we enjoyed acting out and interacting with each other. Moreover, we learned some new words during our play. And most of all, we had lots of fun eating healthy meals that we prepared by ourselves. Mom and Dad! We are looking forward to playing this activity with you at home.
