Last Friday was a special day for Grade 2 A & B learners. The learners immediately knew it was planting time when Mrs. Katy passed by their classes to inform them about the activity of that day. How fantastic it was for them to spot and check up on the seeds they planted last November! The tiny little seeds now became ripe and edible plants.
Since it is winter time, the excited learners started plowing to sow some seasonal plants like the "Pensee" flower that has different amazing colors. Each bunch of learners planted different colors of flowers that represent their own group. They also planted the "Geranium" plant which is an astonishing perennial plant.
All the way through their live, enthusiastic interaction with nature, they are learning how to protect and respect it. Starting with this wonderful, creative project, we intend to educate our new generation on appreciating God’s creation and to make them feel responsible in making changes concerning more critical environmental problems that the world is facing.
