Over the past three weeks, we have been studying about “The Construction Zone”, and one of the best experiences we had was becoming construction workers.
Mr. Fadi, a technology teacher, visited us and explained all about constructing a building. He showed us models of machines which are used on a construction site: a bulldozer, dump truck, and a crane. Mr. Fadi stated the different functions of these machines. Now we know that the digger digs the ground to prepare it for building and then the bulldozer picks up all the unwanted soil and rocks and places them into the dump truck to carry them away. The best part of the visit was when he asked us to help him construct a wooden house. First we set the most important part of the house which is the base. Then, we added the walls, the windows, and the door. Finally, we placed the roof of the house. It looked perfect!
