Spring Exhibition disrupts weather!

Posted on: 29-03-2010

On the warm spring day of March 16, a storm swept through BAC, only to be followed by glaring sunshine in the SMOC playground, two days later, despite the torrential rain showering the rest of school premises. No meteorologists were needed to coin the causes of the odd phenomena: the disturbances had a common aspect which could not be overlooked, namely the eye- catching exhibition stands set up on the occasion of Mother’s Day and Easter held to support the schools’ social activities. The sensational soap and candle sets, the stationery made from recycled and reused material, as well as the mouthwatering marzipan and chocolate, all prepared by the Environmental Activity learners, brought the shine of the spring sun to our schools early on. The sounding of the first recess bell was drowned by the agitation of learners anxiously awaiting- some standing patiently in the long line, others squirming in place. The swarm swiftly wiped the stands clear. As the stands became barren, the feverish clamor was gradually drowned by the usual bestirring beat of our schools...
