In line with our enduring effort to achieve balance between the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of our learners’ personality, our schools launched their summer program for children from Nursery to Grade 3, on June 14. Our endeared camp members did not find it hard to adjust as they got to enjoy amusing activities, under the comforting supervision of our competent teachers. Thus, as early as the first week, the little ones had a great time with equally educational and entertaining activities, in arts, reading, agriculture, cooking and sports. In Arts, they learned about primary colors as well as the importance of vegetables and fruit! The young artists revealed hidden talent in singing during the drawing sessions. It appears that the Library periods were equally inspiring to the children for they were not listening! They were busy acting out the stories. They had a good time planting, making fancy flower arrangements and crunchy chocolate. The tiny cooks proved to be “big league” footballers as well. The early days’ surprises did not end there. Our bubbly boys and girls turned into trained tamers…of the gigantic vibrating inflatable creature they got to ride. They were Masters of the Waters at Waves, and Lords of the play areas, both at school and at “Living Colors”. At the end of every day, our sweet summer campers go back home with new skills and memories, nearly as precious as they are! Rania Maghzal IEN Outreach Unit Supervisor
