Everyone knows that the most special event in the school, for upper elementary learners, is the football tournament; where all learners compete and have fun playing their favorite sport. This year the tournament took place on Saturday, January 21, 2012. All our friends were extremely excited to start the match and demonstrate the best of their skills. We were divided into teams in which each team had a different name like: F.C. SMOC, the Trouble Makers, The Risk, The Champs and many other names. During the matches, we felt excited, nervous, happy, impatient, especially the substitutes who felt skittish to enter and play. Our parents were present, and some of them even coached their children’s team. However, the contestants who were on the field having fun also wanted their other teammates to participate although they were not sure of the final result. At that very moment, all the contestants’ parents felt very proud because their children had team spirit and sportsmanship. At the end, the F.C. SMOC team won the tournament and got medals. Medals were also distributed to the best players, best goal-keepers from all grade levels. Girls from our division also had a part in the tournament where they created their own team; they were also given medals for encouragement.It was really a great event that reflected our unity and strength that lead us to success. We thank everyone who helped in organizing this wonderful event.
