Mathopoly

Posted on: 12-02-2018

Since we are learning about prime and composite numbers, we decided to do a fun learning activity with the help of our Math teacher, Mrs. Darine Fakherddine. So we thought of making a fun educational game that can help us grasp and apply the taught concepts while having fun. So we used our creativity and created a board game called “Mathopoly”. We named it like the board game “Monopoly” because the games are similar, and it symbolizes two words which are “Math” and “Prime”. The game’s concept is to roll a dice and get a number that the learners have to identify as prime or composite before moving the token on the board. Also there are some funny ideas such as going to jail and the only way out is to name three prime numbers first. We keep the game in class so when we are done with our class work, we can play. It’s an entertaining way to study prime and composite numbers and we really enjoy it. Maya Zreik Lynn Attieh Seedra Sabeh Grade 5A
