The Three States of Matter

The Three States of Matter
Matter is everything that we come across in our lives, like the air we breathe, the clothes we wear, the cool drinks we drink – literally everything! In fact, did you know that you are made of matter too? Our KG3 learners got introduced to the different states of matter through exploring and experimenting done during our science sessions. Our little scientists explored the three states of matter through different materials such as ice cubes (solid), juice and oil (liquid), and blowing balloons and water vapor (gas). By applying them in class, learners explored how the three states of matter change from one to the other. They also discussed the procedure that matter passes through in order to transfer from one state to the other like melting, freezing, evaporation and condensation. Of course, our learners discovered such activities with the help of their teachers and through using their senses to explore. They also started predicting the results that will come up at the end of each experiment. Hands-on activities are the best ways to teach Preschoolers new scientific concepts in order to make them concrete and comprehensible. Our Preschoolers will definitely be the scientists of the future. Lamis Al Masri KG3 Homeroom teacher
