Christmas Time 2008-2009

In an attempt to enjoy the last days in 2008 and, enlightened by the Christmas spirit, the teachers’ committee has initiated the plantation of SMOC window sills in the purpose of maintaining a healthy and green environment for both teachers and learners. Teachers participated in the planting while learners watered the new plants....

Mom and Dad, guess what? In the spirit of our last theme “Eat well, feel well”, we opened a new supermarket at school! At this supermarket we sell only healthy kinds of food, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, lettuce, oranges, apples, bananas, cheese, labneh and bread.

This year’s theme is a compilation of feelings and action, leading to expressive sounds.. to words. The aiming-high hand is a flower blossoming through a strong beating heart. The heart has roots in the expression, and tends – in a striving progression – to the expression through the hand. We have chosen “Hearts, hands and voices” to be our year’s expression only because of a belief: growing from pulse to feeling, from motion to action, and from noise to voices.
